Come on, get happy!

I saw this article in AllYou magazine which I love to read and currently subscribe to. It has lots of useful information, coupons, recipes, etc.

Being pregnant and quite often feeling sad, I thought this article was spot on. Keep on reading, if you're interested :)

"You can train your brain to look on the bright side.

1. Make happiness a priority. Each day write down on a sticky note one thing that would improve your mood - going for an early-morning walk, taking lunch outside, etc. - and stick the note somewhere you can see it, like a fridge.
2. Don't overdo it at the office.
3. Go easy on yourself. Don't kick yourself for slipups. Ask yourself: "What do I feel best about right now? Being a success is doing my best, not being the best."
4. Live in the present. Try to savor everyday moments. Count your blessings.
5. Exercise.
6. Show off your strengths. Whether it's a hobby, sport or particular work task, try to devote at least 20 minutes per day to something at which you excel.
7. Surround yourself with upbeat people.
8. Invest in your family - especially your marriage. Plan a few regular, longer "just us" get-togethers.
9. Take control of what you can and look for the silver lining when you can't. Change tasks that cause you anxiety. If stress is coming from something that is hard to eliminate, challenge yourself to see the matter differently. Take a deep breath and find the good in a less-than-perfect situation.
10. Greet the world with a smile. At least 3 times a day, try to offer a compliment. When friendliness is a habit, you attract kindness in return.
11. Be kind to others. Take a moment to help others whenever you can.
12. Show gratitude. Think of 3 things you're thankful for every night and reflect on them."
