August updates: ear piercing for Olivia

As part of her birthday celebration, Olivia got her ears pierced with Daddy's approval! All went well until 3 weeks later, one of the studs fell out (we found it, but not the back part), and I had to put new (golden) studs in. As a result, her left ear piercing started to get red, swollen, and infected. We had to go to the Doctor to put Olivia on oral antibiotics, as well as the antibiotic ointment. The Doctor said it needs to completely heal before re-piercing it.. Poor Olivia! My question is: why did the original stud fall out? Poor quality? We did it at Claire's at the Mall.
