California trip: Sunday

Few weeks ago we started talking about the 4th of July and what we would like to do. Back in Texas, we decided that when we live in Oregon, we will go to California often, so... Why not go for the 4th of July? Mike took 4 days off, and we were ready for our trip! First, we thought we would drive, but an 11 hour drive with a toddler and a baby did not sound that exciting.. The day before our trip Mike has decided to see how many flying points he has with Southwest, since he has been flying back and forth between Texas, CA, and OR all this year. It turned out that we can have 3 free plane tickets due to the points - that was a no-brainer! An hour and a half flight is much better than 11 hours in the car. Plus, it gave us another half day in CA. We were very excited to visit with everybody, and appreciate everybody's flexibility in their schedule to meet up with us. We love you all!

So, on Sunday we visited my Grandma. It was her first time meeting the girls, and we were so happy to got to do it, finally!
